Welcome to Free-Dixie.com! We are a page dedicated to the Southern people, what makes us a people, and the belief that this beautiful people and Heritage can only be preserved through invoking that most sacred of American rights -Self Government.
We seek all honorable, legal and peaceful means of establishing an independent Dixie and seek to explore viable, practical ideas on how to achieve it-as well as lay the groundwork for the future of a prosperous, peaceful and free Republic based on the true principles of Constitutional government, and the freedoms granted to us by Almighty God.
From the founding of Jamestown in 1607(13 years before Plymouth Rock) to our militant resistance to the Socialist revolution now gripping the late United States, Southerners have always been what was best of America-exploring and expanding its frontier, laying the foundation for its Constitutions, using the Southern/Celtic military tradition to preserve them in war, all the while contributing the bulk of what is considered "American" culture- from Poe, Faulkner and Welty to country and blues music, rock and roll, horse and stock car racing, barbecue and so much more. We were the moral compass of the late nation, the "Bible Belt" where Almighty God was still considered the ultimate authority, and the Marxist cult of man rejected by a sound majority.
None of this is an accident. We are a distinct people whom the Lord had graced with noble ancestry and a landscape so fertile and pleasurable it could only have been produced by His Almighty hands. Birthed under such a blessing, how could such a people not thrive?

Calhoun's estimation of the South as the "balance wheel" of the Union rings as true today as ever. Southerners are still the Great Firewall against Godlessness, Communism and human misery. As long as they continue to live under a government fanatically dedicated to all of these positions, Southerners will be the targets of psychotic attacks-in the media, in the government, and in the streets.

It does not make sense as a Christian people to remain in bondage to an alien people demanding that we reject Christ and embrace the worship of Man and mammon as a "fee" for living in their America. It harms our souls to remain in a union where endless hatred, jealousy and violence have replaced unity and brotherhood.
When Christ returns, is this the state in which he will find us? When the Master of the house returns, will he find the watchman in the embrace of the robber?
